Since 2010 Birgitta Fossum has been engaged as Director of Saemien Sijte. Birgitta has her Sea-Sami roots in Manndalen in Nord-Troms.
She holds a Dr. Ph. in archaeology at University of Umeå, with Sami prehistory as her specialist field.
